Las Cinco Palmeras

A comfortable countryside villa in the heart of
La Axarquía

Las Cinco Palmeras is a lovely, recently refreshed home in the heart of the Axarquía.

Situated in a peaceful but not isolated situation between the pretty villages of Sedella and Salares, our Spanish home is the perfect place to switch off and relax.

The Villa

Las Cinco Palmeras is situated between the pretty villages of Sedella and Salares. In a peaceful but not isolated situation, our Spanish home is the perfect place to come and relax with your significant other, with friends, or with family.

We have a beautiful saltwater pool to chill out in whilst sipping on a glass of your favourite tipple, gazing at the view of Mount Maroma in the distance. Here there is very little light pollution, so at night the stars are amazing.

The house is well furnished, very comfortable and comes with a good wi-fi connection, a dedicated space for home working and in the kitchen, a large fridge freezer, so you can stock up well on your way from the airport, then just chill out and enjoy the peace and tranquillity when you arrive.

The Area

Sedella is a charming village nestled in the heart of the Axarquía region in southern Spain. This picturesque area is characterized by its dramatic landscapes, with rolling hills, rugged mountains, and terraced vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see. Olive groves and almond orchards dot the countryside, creating a stunning mosaic of green and earthy tones.

Sedella itself is a quintessential Andalusian village, with narrow, winding streets, white-washed buildings adorned with colorful flowers, and a tranquil ambiance. The region is also known for its excellent hiking trails, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful escape.

Your hosts: Deborah & Patrick

In the UK our home is in Gloucestershire, and we are fortunate enough to be surrounded by nature and wildlife, although our busy jobs don't allow us to enjoy our local outdoor space as much as we would like to.

Our children are both grown up with homes of their own, so with a few years to go yet before we retire, we decided to take the plunge and buy a home in this beautiful part of Spain.

Although we love the sea and the beach, we chose a home in the mountains for the peace, tranquility and views. We love the authenticity of this part of Andalucia, where you still hear the tinkle of goat bells at the end of each day, bread and cheese vans still visit the villages, and the locals are friendly and patient with our terrible Spanish.
